Axis is expanding its worldwide sales and marketing organization to help meet growing market demand. This expansion will enable Axis to better serve the current and future needs of its customers and its partner ecosystem and will specifically include more corporate and regional resources to support specialist competencies in vertical industry sectors. 
As a result of this expansion Axis is adding central and regional resources to enhance network video education, training, specification, partner collaboration and end-user support to provide solutions tailored for customers in identified high-growth industry segments. The Business Development Manager, Transportation position is one of these resources. 
JOB DESCRIPTION
As Business Development Manager it will be your role to generate awareness and demand of Axis products within the Transportation market in your region. You will be the concept developer for the segment and will influence and lead the opinion builders at all levels of the customer and partner base, directly and indirectly. The role will be carried out in close connection with the regional sales team to identify, target and build relationships with the ‘movers and shakers’ in the segment – creating a ‘pull’ from the market and a significant interest in Axis solutions for the segment. 
You will own market segmentation and mapping for the segment, identifying the key partners and potential customers and developing Axis’ local proposition to these partners. 
It will be your responsibility to:
• Grow  the Axis presence and brand demand in the segment within the region
• Act as the Axis ambassador within the market, developing and representing the unique solutions Axis offers
• Develop partnerships with complimentary solution products relevant to the segment
• Provide our R&D / Product Mgmt teams with product specific guidance regarding the segment
• Operate within the virtual global team of Business Development Managers for Transportation
• Be updated on segment technology directives relevant to Axis products
JOB QUALIFICATION
We are looking for an experienced and analytical Business Development Manager with several years of experience from the sales field and a very strong knowledge in the business and sales environment, possessing an excellent strategic and tactical knowledge of the IT/telecom or security field gained in the Transportation sector.
Successful candidates have a good holistic view, analytical skills and experience from creating strategies and bringing them to life. In order to thrive in the position we believe that you are passionate about what you do, that you are proactive and independent in thoughts and actions and a very good communicator as your networking abilities will be crucial for your and Axis success.
