We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Global Industrial Account Development Team. The purpose of the role is to expand our industrial market position and profitability within the Industrial Cargo segment (Break Bulk, High & Heavy and specialized cargo).
This position is located at our office in Södermalm, Stockholm.
Responsibilities
Your responsibility will be to support the Senior Manager, GIAD Segment Development to expand our industrial market position and profitability by:
• Analysing market intelligence, using industry knowledge and experience to protect existing business and identify new business opportunities
• Actively contributing to and driving the commercial strategy for the industrial cargo segment
• Working together with the global commercial organization and other relevant stakeholders to improve processes and capture new opportunities
• Building relationships and know-how with all relevant stakeholders across the organization.
Your accountabilities will be to:
• Provide market intelligence to global CG organization
• Drive new business generation efforts
• Support global CG organization in protecting existing business
• Coordinate internal/external communication to accelerate growth of the industrial segment
• Drive Marketing Efforts
• Prepare Monthly Results
Support acceleration of cooperation with group companies and partners.
Required skills, education and competencies
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years' experience in business development of Industrial Cargo (Break Bulk, High & Heavy and specialized cargo) across international markets
• In-depth knowledge of global industrial cargo trade patterns, particularly between Asia, U.S. and Europe
• Minimum 5 years' experience of working in the RoRo Shipping segment with demonstrated understanding of breakbulk or industrial project cargo
• Proven knowledge of RoRo operational requirements for the safe handling of Industrial Cargo
• Experience of working in different global markets and specifically experience of working in Asia (ideally you would have lived and worked in Asia at some point in your career)
• Must speak either Japanese, Korean or Chinese as you will a lot of interaction with these Asian markets
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for finding new business opportunities
• Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills - must be able to build relationships with and influence internal and external stakeholders from different cultures, industries and countries
• Customer-centric
• Experience in creating and driving commercial strategies
• Positive mindset - someone who inspires others and who thinks of challenges as opportunities
• Experience of leading people according to our leadership values - we expect inclusive leadership that develops and encourages those who work with you
• Experience of leading global projects
• Used to working in a result driven environment
• Comfortable with presenting
• Competent in MS Office suite
• Excellent leadership, and project management skills
• Can do attitude and a mindset that problems can be solved

• Fluent in English - both written and verbal
