hela Sverige Dynamics, a business area within Saab, offers support weapons, missiles, torpedoes, sensors, signature management systems, training and simulation systems and unmanned underwater vehicles for the commercial and defence markets.
To our business unit Underwater Systems we are now looking for a Business Development manager with sales responsibility for our commercial autonomous underwater vehicles. These systems are primarily used for Inspection, Maintenance and Repair in the in the offshore Oil and Gas market. The vehicle systems comprise a large number of systems such as navigation, communication, sensors and docking systems.
Your role
In you role as Business Development Manager you will sell our commercial underwater vehicles to our customers who provides Inspection, Maintenance and Repair services, with our vehicles, to the Oil and Gas operators. You will also develop our business for these products in close cooperation with our customers and end users. In this work, you will have contact and discuss relevant issues internally with our Program and Product managers as well with our purchasers, externally with our customers and end users. All systems, hence all sales and deliveries are unique. This means that you will create and manage many different business setups. The job requires approximately 60 travelling days per year, mainly outside Sweden.
The position will give you good possibilities for your future personal and professional development. You will have to take a big personal responsibility in your work and will have good possibilities to advance in our organisation.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for applicants with experience of Business Development and sales of “systems of systemsâ€. We favour applicants with experience from several fields of business. Currently you are holding a position as Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Strategic Purchaser, Sales Director or Technical Director. Decisive to succeed in your new role is that you have a technical background and has worked with sales of “Systems of Systems†with experience in handling commercial contracts.
As a person, you have a well-developed business sense with good ability to develop relationships and networks. You are comfortable with handling many customer contacts at the same time, and is a good presenter with good communication skills. Your analytical capability is important to understand the customer requirements and system solutions. Since you will have mainly international customers you will have to manage English in a business environment both orally and in writing. Swedish or another Scandinavian language is preferable.
