PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, PLANNING & PURCHASINGProduct Management Industrial (PMI)Product Management Industrial (PMI) aligns the organization to meet market needs of today and tomorrow in a profitable manner. PMI sets product strategies and pricing models, launches product development projects and supports all market regions in sales phases. PMI speaks with the voice of the customer with other departments, for Volvo Penta to excel from design to aftermarket support. Product Management Industrial is looking for a Business Development Manager Main areas of responsibility:Establish business models for Enhanced Product Offering projects such as Electromobility, Connected Services, Soft Offers, Components Sales, etc.Support in the strategic planning process and the development of strategic objectivesPerform feasibility studies to enable prioritization between different business alternativesMonitor market trends, influencing factors and best practices in business models, sales and operationsCollect, compile & analyze data with focus on specific market segments, competitors, regions & market units and make recommendations based on analyzed factsMonitor the development of key Industrial OEMs, to enable strengthened strategic partnership discussionsConduct dialogues with customers and end-users to gather relevant data about market needsLead workshops and meetings to gather required internal and external expertize regarding concerned investigationsMonitor competitors' offerig focusing on different aspects of the Industrial engine business, both from a technical, financial and brand image perspectiveRepresent Volvo Penta's Industrial Segment in events such as customer visits, exhibitions and internal cross-functional initiativesThe job requires close contact with Volvo Penta's Sales Regions in order to develop market knowledge regarding industrial engines and components as well as to carry the voice of the customer to internal functions. There are repeatedly presentations, discussion and meetings regarding concerned topics with company executives and other colleaguesYou will report to the Strategy and Business Development Director at Product Management Industrial Occasional travel is required. Skills & Profile:University degree in relevant field (business or/and technical) or experience to equivalent levelProficiency in business-related aspects of driveline electrificationExperience regarding Connected Services in an industrial and/or automotive environmentPrior experience in similar industry context (B2B) and international exposure is a meritStructured way of workingExcellent communication, presentation and networking skillsSelf-driven, team-player and seeking continuous improvementCustomer oriented with a business mind-setAdvanced proficiency in IT-applications such as Excel and PowerPointFluent in EnglishAt Volvo Penta we are actively working to establish teams that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender and nationality etc. We find that well-balanced working teams increase group dynamics, creativity and new approaches to solutions.
