You will perform strategic market analysis of existing and new markets and segments, helping product and marketing quantify opportunities and set business development priorities. You're a team player who can communicate Fishbrain's unique product offering externally as well as advocate for our partners' needs and value internally. You'll manage a remote US-based sales team, coordinating between product, marketing, and business development to deliver measurable results and signed agreements.
This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden and reports to the CMO.
Responsibilities:
• Identifying the major players in fishing retail and gear and engaging with them at an enterprise level.
• Performing strategic market analysis in order to drive business development priorities.
• Building relationships with the relevant departments of US states and fish and wildlife departments, with the aim of creating long-term business, data, and content partnerships.
• Chasing leads, building the deal pipeline with qualified leads and reaching the target deal signatures.
• Deep diving into businesses to understand their pain points and relating them to Fishbrain's unique selling points.
• Work with product and marketing to translate our product into understandable, attractive offering that clearly defines our value proposition.
• Own your pipeline by managing your projects and priorities and by maintaining appropriate communication with all stakeholders.
• Managing a remote team of 1-2 salespeople.
Wish list:
• Proven experience pitching and converting business at an enterprise level
• Proven experience building sales pipelines and chasing/converting leads - be able to provide examples!
• Experience working in a startup or tech company
• Deep understanding of CRMs
• Some experience managing direct reports is a plus
• Exposure to working with or in the fishing or outdoors industry is a plus
• You know how to collaborate and believe we are stronger as a team than on our own.
• You know how to get stuff done and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
