In this position you are based in our brand-new office at Regeringsgatan, in the heart of Stockholm, and global travel is a natural part of the job.
Job Summary
As Business Developer at Sandvik CODE, you work together with a dynamic team of sales, marketing and user experience representatives to identify promising business opportunities, define business plans and assess market growth opportunities. You are responsible for mapping of value-streams across quality assurance of part' manufacturing and metrology process to identify the most promising opportunities that help our customers become more productive. Scouting for tech- and commercial partners to strengthen our market presence over time is an important part of your responsibility. You work closely with product management to ensure that identified insights and opportunities help define future product roadmaps across Sandvik's digital portfolio.
Your responsibilities also include:
• Identifying new market trends, customer problems, business opportunities and potential partners related to quality assurance and in situ metrology
• Conducting customer journey analysis, value-streaming mapping and identifying business and technology requirements
• Defining and implementing suitable business models and leading the development of multiple business cases and projects
• Quantifying opportunities and gaps, and translate these into actionable business initiatives
• Identifying and maintaining business collaboration with strategic tech-/commercial partners and stakeholders
• Establishing a competitive portfolio for the area of in situ metrology, quality assurance and process automation, initially focusing on metal cutting and machining across different industry verticals
Your skills and qualifications
This role requires effective communication and strategic thinking skills for agile and fast execution, which means we are looking for a proactive, curious and hands-on individual with passion for digital manufacturing business development. You have a background of at least five years from business development, or product management from industrial automation including metrology and quality assurance, within the field of metal cutting or CNC machine tool. You also need to have experience from GD&T or CAD/CAE/CAX as well as from Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. As we act on the global stage, you need fluent skills in both written and verbal English.
Bonus skills and qualifications:
• Degree in Industrial Management or the equivalent work experience
• Practical skills in user experience and design thinking methodology
• Industrial network in the verticals automotive, aerospace and defense, power generation or general engineering etc.
