Main Tasks:
• Drive the business towards profitability plans and support execution of Volvo Construction Equipment Strategy;
• Optimize processes towards excellence level: efficiency gains, waste removal, high return of investment within Supply Chain;
• Secure Cost Management activities;
• Drive business acumen and share best practices cross plants with Global scope;
• Develop and maintain systems to support business needs;
• Support maintenance of Supplier Management processes;
• Provide expertize and guidance on business cases and decision scenarios;
• Support transparency and integrated partnership with suppliers and stakeholders;
• Understand supply chain (upstream and downstream) to enhance cost management activities deployment;
• Support supplier evaluation in accordance with the Volvo processes and standards;
• Elaborate strategy for risk management within the Purchasing & Supplier Management (data science and intelligence, business analysis and assessments); based on the inputs given by the Global P&SM Business Development Director.

Responsibilities / Authorities
• Responsible for Process Excellence and Systems optimization to drive efficiency and best practice within the region enhancing alignment with global teams;
• Responsible for securing Compliance and compatibility with regulations;
• Responsible to provide Business support for Purchasing with usage of business intelligence and innovative tools to support business decisions;
• Responsible for commonality, accuracy and integrity of key performance indicators within Purchasing in all used dimensions;
• Responsible for creation, maintenance and deployment of improvement initiatives tied to the Business Development roadmaps (for all key focus areas mentioned above);
• Member of the Leadership team;
• Member of the Business Development Leadership Team

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
• University degree (Technical, Business, Financial or comparable)
• A minimum of 5 years professional experience in supplier management, project management, information technology, automotive industry or equivalent related area or experience;
• MBA strongly preferred;

Additional Important Requirements:
• Holistic view and strong knowledge of the processes within Purchasing and overall Supply Chain;
• Deep understanding of Sourcing Strategy;
• Coaching/mentoring experience is a plus;
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross functional and multi-cultural organization and ability to manage and influence others (leadership and team work);
• Excellent communication skills in English, additional language skills is a plus;
• Experience in applying problem solving techniques;
• Experience in driving collaboration workshop and teambuilding activities;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Information Technology tools;
• Able to represent Volvo Construction Equipment professionally and effectively when dealing with stakeholders, suppliers or third-party companies;
• Team facilitator skills
