We are in an exciting development phase and are now looking for a
Business Development and Innovation Director
The position of Business Development and Innovation Director will be a key to the future success of the Brenderup Group. Responsibilities include driving Category Management and the category agenda, while also having an overall responsibility for and secure an effective collaboration together with R&D and Purchasing. As a member of the Group Management Team, you will be driving the Group's strategic development and working in close collaboration with the sales management of Trailers and Rentals. Your team currently includes four direct reports and ten indirect employees in Category, Purchasing and Product development based in Jönköping, Sweden and Wiele, Poland. You will be located together with your team in Jönköping.
Main responsibilities
You will be responsible for the establishment, development and management of the Category organization, securing and delivering the right product road map throughout the product life cycle. You should be able to establish a team spirit of "living and breathing Category" among the category managers. It is also important that you will be able to develop a culture based on a clear business focus and collaboration within the BD&I organization. You should be able to influence and contribute new ways of thinking, as well as new opportunities to both the BD&I and the Group Management Team.
Background and career profile
To become successful in this position, you should have extensive knowledge of Category Management and Business Development, and a good understanding of the manufacturing industry. Previous experience from an international and highly intercultural work environment will be considered as an advantage.
We see that you have a degree in Business Administration/Economics together with relevant professional experience. You have documented good business results and, as a manager, experience of leading and developing employees, both individually and in teams. You have high personal integrity, and you are analytical and well-structured, as well as being business-oriented, a team player and a value-driven professional. You are good at creating and implementing new ways of working and persistently and pedagogically driving and leading shared ways of working. Your social and communicative skills in your contacts with Group Management as well as suppliers, employees, and virtually anyone who crosses your path, will be of great importance in order for you to become successful in this position. You speak / write English on a professional level; Swedish is qualifying but not a requirement.
