The Business Development and Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) department is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for Sandvik Coromant, including the areas of market and industry analysis, strategy development, business development and M&A. We're now looking for a Business Development Analyst to join us in a strategic, exciting and challenging role with the chance to take part in defining the future of Sandvik Coromant on a truly global scale!
Your mission
In this position, you stay on top of global mega trends - monitoring and analyzing those that shape our arena and identifying how these might impact our future. Together with internal and external stakeholders, you determine strategically important exploration areas that should be further analyzed for future growth opportunities. By doing a quantitative data analysis about e.g. market trends, size and share, growth drivers and our position on the market, together with a qualitative analysis through interviews with customers and subject matter experts, you draw conclusions and present identified business opportunities to senior and executive management. In line with this, a natural part of your job is to conduct financial analysis of potential acquisition targets to support or perform business valuation - this to ensure success both now and in the future.
The preferred location for this position is either Sandviken or Stockholm, Sweden, but it's possible to work from anywhere in the world.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a degree in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge gained from a working career. You have around three years of relevant experience, and a background from financial analysis and modelling, as well as from business intelligence gathering, analysis, reporting, and strategy creation. You're a good communicator capable of presenting complex information in a concatenated and pedagogical way, and you communicate effectively with executive and senior management. As we act on the global stage, you need excellent skills in English, both verbally and in writing, and skills in Swedish or other languages is considered a plus.
