Scania Purchasing is responsible for providing value to our customers by supplying products to the right Technology, Quality, Delivery and Cost focusing on Sustainability. The Department of Strategy & Processes assures the upholding and continuous development of methods, strategies, processes and systems/tools as global lead function within Scania Group Purchasing.
With increasing focus on our journey to be the sustainable leader in transport solutions we now need to reinforce our team in Purchasing.
Job description
You will develop and/or improve purchasing processes, principles and methods within Scania Purchasing according to assignments and in co-operation with other Scania functions. By doing so you contribute to our goal of continuously being the most performing, efficient and attractive purchasing operation in the industry. Your work includes project- and change-oriented activities, creative work, as well as internal and cross-functional communication. The development of Information Systems, which affects purchasing processes, and implementing the successfully, is supported by you by defining ways of working correlating to flow-oriented principles and compliant-conformant demands. You work in an international environment within Scania Group Purchasing as well as with our partners of the Volkswagen Group incl. benchmarks, strategies and joint projects to provide common ground of way of working for a better cooperation. You will also be a key person for developing and tailoring strategies in our goal to become the sustainable leader.
Your profile
We are looking for a communicative, positive and driven person, who enjoys the varying tasks of an Business Developer role and has a passion for sustainability issues. You are cross-functional oriented, flow-driven and you like to work within teams and with different projects at the same time. Required is an open minded person able to moderate discussions, align different opinions and develop a best possible way of working granting conformity to current processes and Corporate Governance. Your skills include fast learning, logical thinking and a holistic view. Flow-oriented working and presenting your projects to bigger audience is no problem for you.
You have a degree from university and possess adequate knowledge of Scania Purchasing processes and way of working. Aside of passion for processes and sustainability you are interested in improvements, efficiency as well as IT systems and applications.
Leadership and good communication skills as well as ability to create confidence and trust among our internal customers is vital, since you will lead projects regarding the implementation of processes, methods and principles.
Preferably you have experience within different areas and roles within purchasing.
You are fluent in both written and oral English.
