ICOMP is an important part of Supplier's Purchase within the IKEA supplying process by creating substantial cost- and quality benefits in the trade with raw materials, components and fittings. Furthermore ICOMP plays an important role in IKEA's creating the home furnishing offer process by developing IKEA unique and customer friendly solutions for components and fittings.
We are now looking for a
Business Developer
The position is focused on business development connected to an assigned ICOMP product area with the purpose to find the best benefits and solutions for IKEA and their suppliers. You work with internal as well as external contact surfaces and create business solutions on a global level. You are responsible on a general level for business development and result/performance and pro-actively lead the technical product development for the components.
You need to be skilled in the ability to identify business opportunities, to set goals and achieve them. You work in close co-operation with the Business Area Manager. You need to have good knowledge of the market, competitors and their abilities along with keeping up with current and future trends. You should give support for development and maximize the output of our component suppliers. You need to understand how to make solutions more end customer friendly and how to add value by combining your technical skills with your business ability and you should like the consultative role in different projects and settings.
Needed qualifications
• High school, University degree or similar.
• Experience and proven skills in doing business in a complex and global environment.
• Very good technical understanding.
• Strong relationship skills, good at networking and communicates in a clear and comprehensible way.
• Ability to use your environment and your co-workers resources with efficiency to reach goals.
• Keep focus on goals and results and don't lose orientation in a turbulent environment. You need a high level of energy and activity.
• Strategic, logic and holistic view, positive approach and pedagogic skills with self-reliance.
• You work with autonomy, always carrying IKEA supplier and end customer perspective.
• Possess negotiation skills.
• Production experience or similar.
• Leadership talents.
• Possibility to travel 5-15 days per month.
• Write and speak English fluently. More languages, such as German and Swedish are a benefit but no demand.
