As a Business Developer here at Spin Master Ventures you'll be part of our mission to invest "in the future of Play" by backing visionary entrepreneurs that aspire to be the future leaders of the kids' universe.
This means you'll be handling incoming deal flow, pro-actively sourcing deals, doing research on what is gaining traction, analyzing these companies, and preparing for potential investment decisions. We, Spinmaster Ventures, invest in three areas, Toy, Entertainment and Digital (games). Your focus will mainly be on Digital, but you will work with all three areas.
What you'll be doing
You'll work closely together with the Spin Master Ventures team to search the globe for innovative businesses and entrepreneurs that fit the strategic direction of Spin Master.
You'll proactively be sourcing deals through research, from VCs, incubators, toplists and more, managing the deal flow, as well as doing initial reviews of the businesses.
You'll be supporting the team in analyzing and researching both the market as well as individual businesses in terms of trends, KPIs, financials, and more.
As you grow in the role you'll possibly become the point of contact for some investments.
Is this you?
You are interested in gaming, digital economy and the kids/family space. Your exact background doesn't matter but you've worked for a few years already in either business development, sales, analytics or similar.
You're a person who is not afraid to reach out and connect with entrepreneurs around the globe.
You are numerically strong and have an analytical mind. You can analyze statistics, KPIs, do modeling etc. with great presentation skills.
You are located here in Stockholm, Sweden (we won't be relocating anyone for this position).

This position is full time and based in our Stockholm office (Toca Boca's office) with a hybrid working model (part office, part working from home). We apply a 6 months probationary period. As we're an international company, with over 20 nationalities working here, and millions of users all over the world, you have to be fluent in English. Your application should therefore be in English.
