Business controller- Biomass
Vattenfall is Europe's fifth largest electricity generator and the largest producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Benelux and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Business Division Renewables is responsible for wind power and biomass. Investments in wind power is an important cornerstone to deliver our road map and we plan, build and own wind farms in six countries, onshore and offshore. Investment in biomass fuel is key to further reduce the emissions. We have about 300 employees.
The controlling organization within Business Division Renewables (BDR) is centralized and working functionally with the four Business Units, Onshore- and Offshore Development, Generation and Biomass. The team for BDR consists of 17 controllers.
Business Division Renewables business within Biomass are growing and are in an exciting phase, therfore we are now looking for an Business controller- Biomass.
The role offers work in an international environment where you get the opportunity to influence the role's future content, as well as setting up the frame work for KPI:s and reporting processes.
Job description
The main focus and tasks of the Business Controlling unit is to perform strategic and business analysis from a financial point of view, this work supports the Head of Business Division Renewables.
You will be the business controller for the BU Biomass within BD Renewables, reporting directly to Head of Business Control.
The roles tasks include:
• Steering and control of the financial processes and from a financial perspective develop support for the new projects and businesses
• Developing the controlling processes within BU
• Monthly reporting (actuals and forecast)
• Control and follow up the investments and development projects
• Assure quality within the Biomass financials from a business controlling perspective
• Creating the business plan for the BU in cooperation with the controlling team and the BU management team
• Preparing monthly reports to the BU management
• Preparing monthly reports to Controlling
• Ad-hoc analysis's for the BU Biomass and on request from corporate finance
• Supporting the different managers within Biomass with financial expertise
Qualifications
Required education is BSc- or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration or equivalent education. You should have 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably from financial analysis. We also require excellent Excel skills and good knowledge in English.

• Transfer conceptual ideas into practical solutions
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (macros, pivot tables etc)
• Good knowledge in investment control
• High motivation and flexibility
• Experience from biomass business is desirable
• Knowledge about currency exposure and hedging
