BU Nuclear Power
Business Unit Nuclear Power (BU N) is a part of Business Division Production and responsible for all Nuclear Business within Vattenfall. BU NP operates four nuclear power plants situated in Sweden and Germany; Ringhals, Forsmark, Krümmel and Brunsbüttel. Also included in the BU are companies SKB, KSU, Vf Fuel, Barsebäck Kraft AB, SVAFO and SQC. The BU has approximately 4400 employees.

BU Controlling Nuclear has the over-aching task of supporting BU Nuclear Power's vision 2020 to become "Recognized for being world class in nuclear safety and operations and for continuously developing our fleet".
A Business Controller is the link and key role between the company management, the operation and the finance department. The purpose of the role is to supply business oriented financial and non-financial information so that the management can follow, evaluate and influence the operation and secure strategy. Furthermore we are responsible for consistent, high quality financial reporting and monitoring of business performance. The Business Control function is also responsible for Risk- and Investment controlling.

3 positions as Business Controller, reporting to Director Nuclear Controlling, is vacant:
The business controller plays a key role in the ambition to realize the vision. The over-aching task is to support management on all levels and together develop a common view and to how to define, execute, measure and support the strategic direction within the operation.

The main responsibility will be to support BU management with financial and strategic analysis, monitoring, follow-up, structural issues and developing tools to be operational excellence. The role will demand a hands-on support where you need to search and collect information's from various sources, draw conclusions, give excellent presentations, provide recommendations of needed actions and follow up.

Other areas of responsibility will be to support the Director Nuclear Controlling to further develop a modern control function and evaluate tools and reports to become benchmark, furthermore you will also be responsible for certain activities and processes on BU level, such as follow up of monthly/quarterly reporting, business planning, strategy planning, structural issues and Investment controlling.

What it takes to be successful in this position:
To be successful in this position you will need to have a deep analytical thinking combined with a strong business sense. You feel comfortable to serve management within all financial matters and to translate financial reporting into business logic. You need to be able to communicate complicated issues and break down problems into manageable tasks. Other important personal capabilities are skills in co-operation on all levels, ability to work with tight deadlines with a strong will to meet targets and demonstrate personal courage when needed.

Secondly, the role demands a wide perspective and you should be able to create hypotheses by identifying crucial factors, problems and opportunities and take actions based upon accurate interpretation. You should have an "eye" for inconsistencies and holes in logic of arguments and "numbers". You have characteristics as a team player that takes responsibility for own and team members' success and a strong performance orientation in all tasks.

Thirdly, as a candidate for this position you will have a proven track record of business controlling and basic accounting experience. You have a university degree or equivalent higher education in business administration or similar. Furthermore your performance in MS Office is excellent. Experience and knowledge from a common ERP system is valuable, skill of SAP is a merit.

Finally, good command of Swedish and English (oral & written) is needed.

Location The place of work for this position is Råcksta, from September we are located in Solna. It will be required to travel within Sweden and Germany.
