Description
The Business Controller is exposed to a broad scope of topics with focus on how to steer and navigate the expansion and business development of the Retail Package in existing and future markets. The Business Controller is an active business partner for the Management, Project leaders and solution owners in steering the organisation and initiatives in a strategic, tactical and operational way.
The scope of the work is to a high extend related to operational controlling, as the Business Controller acts as a contact person for all financial matters.
The Business Controller will be responsible for following topics:
• Acting as a contact person for all finance related matters
• Providing insights of actual cost spend to key stakeholders
• Supporting the Budget and Forecast process
• Supporting Project leaders to steer their Project Financials
• Contributing to the goal setting process by aggregating, validating and assessing goal submissions.
• Calculating the bi-monthly recharges for IT-Services for the markets in scope
• Ensuring financial alignment with suppliers and retailers
• Follow up the contractual agreements with markets for new services
• Conducting ad-hoc request, Business Case calculation etc.
• Improve the existing KPI landscape
Mandatory competence and experience:
• Solid work experience from a business controlling or business navigation role in a large multinational company, ideally in an IT-/ Digital environment
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
• Keen eye for details as well as the overall picture
• Find it easy to work with numbers and take great pride in securing accuracy in details
• Ability to work under stress with many different stakeholders and keep calm when facing complexity
• University degree in business administration or finance
• Good level of English (verbally and in writing)
• Familiar with common IT tools used in Controlling or willingness to quickly adapt working with new IT tools (Qlikview/ Qliksense, Planview, SAP BPC)
Preferred personal qualities:
This assignment requires strong communication skills with proven ability to lead and influence. The Business Controller should be experienced in communication with different levels in the organisation, and should find it easy to communicate complex topics and figures in an understandable and inspiring way.
