Business Controller for Transport

Transport is a $1B+ growth center (GC) that designs, innovates, and manufactures wastewater pumps and provides aftermarket services to municipal and industrial customers in developed and emerging markets. The business is divided into 4 segments - Wastewater Pumping, Monitoring & Control, Custom Pump and Aftermarket & Services. All products & services are sold through integrated regional sales companies. Now we are looking for a Business Controller who are:

The role
JOB OBJECTIVE
Revenue growth and forecast accuracy. Partner with the business area Directors engaging regional sales companies to grow Transport revenues and improve the quality of orders, sales, and standard margin forecasts.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead on-going strategic review of product sales & profitability trends to support pricing and investment decisions, measure sales force effectiveness, and drive revenue growth faster than market growth rates
• Develop a Management Information System including weekly Flash reports, key sales & orders analysis etc.
• Close coordination with Regional Controllers proactively identifying and communicating sales risks & opportunities.
• Improve forecast accuracy.
• Finance Lead for Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP)
• Uploading & validating data monthly to produce the Service Report. Drive accuracy and completeness reporting by product line & destination.
• Develop repeatable & reliable seed to flower analysis of products/ projects understanding total margin trends
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management.
• Coordinate with Engineering Analyst on-going strategic review of investments in R&D to support product development.
• Tracking & coordination of Transport marketing & advertising spend with the Regions as well as Segment Budgets, Forecasts, Actuals and cost control follow-up
• Analysis of sales channel performance.
• Preparation of Monthly and Quarterly internal reports and presentations to all levels of management and employees regarding sales and margin trends.
• Lead, assess, and provide feedback to fully develop high-performing FP&A and GC finance team.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Report solid line to the Vice President Finance, Transport
Coordinate with Transport, HQ, Regional and other GC finance teams
Coordinate with Transport Leadership team
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 7 years+ of relevant financial experience
• Strong leadership skills
• International experience preferred
• Fluent in English
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and HFM skills
• Experience in US GAAP
