hela Sverige Are you an experienced Business Controller looking for a role where you operate close to the business and influence decisions
As Business Controller at Stena Line, you play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the business, with a focus on our ports and terminals. You deliver high-quality analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, turning financial data into clear, actionable insights that enable fact-based decision-making. In this role, you ensure management has an accurate and transparent view of revenue, costs, profitability and key performance indicators, and you actively contribute to improving financial outcomes across the business.
Some of your key responsibilities:
Provide qualified and proactive support to different business areas in planning, follow-up and daily activities
Perform business follow-up and analysis on a regular basis, including financial and operational results for your responsible areas
Be involved in the Budget, Forecast and Long-Term Plan processes, ensuring that figures are accurate, consistent and delivered on time
Coordinate and support business planning activities, contributing to business plans for relevant units, routes or functions
Provide analytical support for KPI/PI reviews and suggest potential improvements to performance and ways of measuring it
Provide financial analysis of different aspects of the business, such as volumes, revenues, costs, profitability and other key drivers
Contribute to ad-hoc tasks and projects within Business Control and Finance, supporting ongoing improvements and transformation

This is a hands-on, analytical position with broad exposure to the business. Based in our Gothenburg office, this role follows an office-first approach, allowing you to work closely with a collaborative team of different Business Controller functions. You will also work closely with managers and other stakeholders to understand the drivers behind financial results, challenge assumptions, and proactively identify risks and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:
University degree in Finance, Economics or another relevant field
Experience within Finance or Accounting, with a solid foundation in financial processes and numbers
Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel
Experience with systems such as JDEdwards, QlikView/Qlik Sense, Anaplan, PowerBI is an advantage
Strong presentation skills, including the ability to prepare and present clear, structured material to different stakeholders
Fluent in English, both written and spoken (Swedish is also a plus!)
Prior experience working with analysis and follow-up of financial and operational performance is meritorious (e.g. from controlling, analysis or similar roles)
Some travel is required in this role, as the business operates across several countries.
