IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA retail channels with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduces 2,000 new products in the 400 stores IKEA stores and other multichannel touchpoints around the world with the turnover of 20,5 BEUR. Right now we are looking for a Business Area Manager to lead our Business Area Lighting and IKEA Home Smart. Our business in Lighting is about inspiring people to experience the benefits of living with light and through beautiful lighting solutions and innovative technologies create atmosphere and wellbeing in their homes. Great lighting lifts the home furnishing feeling and brings out the beauty of the IKEA range. In our development unit for IKEA Home Smart we explore the opportunities to integrate technology into IKEAs home furnishing offer with the ambition to provide functional, simple, easy-to-use and joyful solutions that add value to people's everyday lives. To continue to be the leader in life at home, it is a necessity to utilise our curiosity and explore solving everyday frustrations using new, but available, technology. We develop solutions for other HFBs in collaboration with both internal and external partners.
The journey ahead in Lighting and IKEA Home Smart is very exciting. We aim to be the world leader in lighting and smart solutions for life at home, to drive extraordinary growth, to inspire and enable people to increase convenience and atmosphere and to live a more sustainable life at home.
About the assignment
You lead a Business Area with approximately 125 co-workers together with 16 senior leaders. We want you to truly contribute in building on the strengths of the atmosphere of trust, delegated responsibilities and competent people. Together with your team set out the direction towards further innovation, where learning, joy and performance work hand in hand for a better IKEA.
You will report to Deputy Managing Director, IKEA of Sweden AB, Jeanette Skjelmose.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
Sustained excellence in daily operations through trust, encouragement and people focused leadership
Competence development and evolvement of the unique IKEA Culture
Further development and execution of business plans in the long term perspective
Continuous creation of optimal conditions for growth and innovation
Development of new opportunities in a multichannel business environment
Contribution and support of the total IKEA agenda within IKEA of Sweden, Range & Supply, and other relevant IKEA organisations. Collaborate across the company to lead common topics for business and people development.
Collaboration with the material categories to create the optimal conditions for full availability at lowest cost, optimal sourcing and close cooperation in the product development process
