Business Applications & Systems Administrator

The Business Applications & Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, release management, quality assurance, and testing oversight of sales support systems. This position will apply analytical and problem solving skills to the design, planning, execution, deployment and maintenance of sales systems for corporate and/or department projects to ensure the satisfaction of the defined and documented business requirements are met.
They will provide testing oversight and perform quality assurance in support of strategic corporate and/or department projects utilizing sales systems. This position will work closely with internal and external customers (i.e. R&D, product management, Sales offices) to understand business needs and objectives and deliver automation and intelligence to advance business objectives. They will be responsible for working with the business and subject matter expert teams to lead the development and execution of testing scenarios, tracking of defects and archiving of supporting documentation.
Qualifications
To apply for this position you have finished a B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering or any related Engineering field. You have been exposed to software development. Prior knowledge of the pumping industry is a plus, but not required.
Personal skills
• Strong functional understanding of object-oriented databases and systems
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - especially Excel Able to effectively manage complex tasks and projects
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage competing priorities.
• Sound analytical skills with the ability to successfully troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Ability and desire to develop relationship management & collaboration skills to work in a team atmosphere.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
Desired skills, but not required:
• Strong communication and presentation skills and business acumen a plus.
• Experience with engineering product selection tools.
• Experience working in or with Sales, Marketing or IT departments providing technical support and data analysis.
