Sweden Operations is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the world. The site and its 3500 employees supply life changing to more than 100 different countries - accounting and counts for ~40% of the total volume of AstraZeneca's sales, corresponding to $10B in sales revenues. The site has ~3000 employees. Sweden Operations is also the primary launch site within the AstraZeneca network and many of the products in AstraZeneca's exciting pipeline will be launched from Sweden Operations in the coming years.
We are now searching for a Business Analyst/Developer to join our Business Analytics Team (BAT). The team consist of Business Analysts/Developers who provide analytics driven business development. The team challenges, influences and supports the making of key site decisions by providing sound business analytics, turning data into valuable information. This enables a rapid response to business opportunities in a dynamic business environment.
The Business Analyst/Developer will report to the BAT manager and will be part of Sourcing & Supply within Sweden Operations. The Business Analyst/Developer interacts with cross functional teams on site as well as corporate functions to maximize business benefit.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The main responsibility of the Business Analyst/Developer is to support business development at the site and contribute to improved decision making within Sweden Operations. This is done by providing a fact-based approach and strong analytics to ongoing initiatives and new business opportunities.
The key aspects of the role are supply chain knowledge, information management and analytics and developing partnerships and collaborating across the organization. He/she works to understand impact of demand and supply variability, supply chain velocity on inventory and explores opportunities to improve supply chain performance, through KPI tracking and use of analytics. The Business Analyst/Developer shows interest in the external trends in Data Analysis and shares best practice and knowledge with the team.
Collaboration with other functions, sites, stakeholders and customers are of great importance, therefore strong communication skills are necessary.
Essential Requirements
* Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management and/or Analytics related field (e.g. Industrial Engineering and Management, Operations Management, MIS, Computers Science, etc.), or Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience
* Strong and proven analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with a wide network across the international business
* Experience in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning, Inventory management, Supply Chain Management)
Desirable Requirements
* Project and change management experience
* Experience of Business Intelligence Platforms, e.g. QlikView or SAP Lumira
* ERP (SAP) knowledge
* Understanding of business financials
