The Position
The Business Analyst support the Division teams with a variety of data insights and analytics, taking ownership in relevant data gathering, monitoring and analysis, while taking accountability to develop sourced data to meet Expansive Worlds needs and requirements today and in the future. In the role the Business Analyst enable the division to take 'data aware decisions' while facilitating for general and partner level 'go-to-market' plans through robust analysis, providing fact-based recommendations to maximize profitability.

Key deliverable for the role is to create thorough understanding across Expansive Worlds in where we optimize our ROI today and the future, while providing ongoing insights to our business trajectory against set targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence Agenda
Source data based on division needs and requirements
Partner with and act as customer w. APEX (backend) team to facilitate
Partner in developing the data infrastructure (big-data) that enables data aware decision-making
Establish easy access data source to support pro-forma analysis, business control and performance reviews

Strategic Planning
Establishing Financial Targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Quality Indicators (KQIs) and Production Performance Indicators (PPIs) in close alignment with Expansive Worlds Management
Implement tracking for and visualize set KPIs/KQIs/PPIs
Greenlight Process
Support Budget stakeholders in pro-forma budget & forecasting
Development life-cycle: Establish, provide and recommend pro-forma Development Budget
LiveOps life-cycle: Establish, provide and recommend pro-forma PnLs, assess comparative market factors, pricing considerations and marketing activities.
Support Group and Division 'Key Objectives' with data insight and analysis

Live Operations
Accountable for establish methodology for rolling business performance trajectory supporting Business Operations
Responsible for data quality, financial alignment and assessment with division executional publishing process (roadmaps and plans), working in tandem with accountable leads;
POs in financial assessment of Product Centralized Roadmap
DoD in financial assessment of Production & Staffing Plan
TD in financial assessment of Technology Development Plan
HoM in financial assessment of Marketing & Sales Plan
Revenue & Profitability assessment of defined Risk & Opportunites - vs. Budget Forecast
Provide actionable insights to Product Owners and Sales & Marketing Teams (tbd)
Review pro-forma P&Ls to validate profitability of releases, promotions, sales activations and conduct associated post-mortems
Analyse P&L and recommend activities to drive profitability

Financial Discipline
Partner with Finance in Division Budget & Forecasting, providing data and pro-form PnLs and investment requirements in a timely manner
Partner with Finance teams in monitor performance at product level
Partner with Finance teams to outline actual financial performance variance storytelling based on;
Timing
OneOffs
Uncontrollable items
Performance

Communication
Be active member of virtual insights team
Continuous communication of findings and proposed actions for commercial teams cross locations
Collaborate with peers within Avalanche Studios Group data analyst discipline

Relationships
Close collaboration with Expansive Worlds Management team
APEX / Central Tech team
Finance team
Virtual insights team

Team Management
Demonstrate and promote company culture, mission and brand trajectory
Contribute to the career & growth alignment activities for the craft

Key Skills and Experience:
Typically > 5 years experience in business analysis from gaming & digital entertainment
> 3 years in a international environment
Bias for action/initiative (pro-activeness)
Self-sufficient & personal drive for process improvement and innovation
Co-operate and collaborate in team spirit - act without personal prestige
Ability to prioritize and work structured, targeted and focused
Excellent analytical, structured and numerical skills
Good communications and presentation style
Strong capability for planning & analysis allied to the vision
Language skills:
Swedish - good
English - good
Comfortable travelling as required
