Purpose
As the business solutions develop, this role provides a vital link between our information technology capabilities and our ability to deliver business objectives. Working within the demand management area translating our business needs into clear requirements, and ensuring that they are delivered. The role has the potential to expand to translating customer needs into new products, services and ultimately business profits.
Organisation
The applicant will be joining the department as it transforms from an organigram, reporting directly to the Senior IT Program Manager. The role will support the Demand Management section of the department. Which brings a unique opportunity to develop the required capabilities and competency to support the business projects within IT delivery.
Responsibilities
* Defining, analyzing, and documentation of requirements, and ensuring that they are delivered within the project to ensure that business needs are meet
* Translating, simplifying and communicating the requirements to match the audience
* Identify and facilitate business process change to support change initiatives
* Support project implementation phases, by turning requirements into test cases, and support business acceptance validation, testing phases
* Depending on the activity and skill set, act as a project technical resource, helping to configure, setup the appropriate systems
* Understand the business solution architecture, the integrations and data flows to support business change and daily operations
* Supporting the business develop business cases as required
Qualifications
* A proven strong track record from working in a Business Analyst role, preferably around 2-4 years, with demonstrable analytical skills and communication skills
* Bachelor degree is desirable
* Excellent MS Office experience
* Good technical background with a desire to continue learning
Personal qualities
* Cross functional collaboration and an ability to excel in matrix work environments, where requirements can be often ambiguous
* Good experience in successfully delivering within a fast paced environment
* Understanding of systems engineering concepts, and project life cycle
* Ability and desire to learn the business, with an inquisitive mindset and not being afraid to ask challenging questions
* Completer finisher, with an attention to detail and clear concise communication methods
