Business Analyst
Siemens Financial Services (SFS) are recruiting for a Business Analyst, Region North, to be based at our Umeå Office. SFS uses technology as an enabler to provide leading edge solutions.
SieSmart is the recommended front end solution for all SFS businesses and currently services all Region North countries and India. Implementations are currently ongoing in France and Spain and we plan to extend further in the future.
What are my responsibilities?
This role, working as part of the Global Competency Centre for Origination Platforms is to act as the bridge between the business and IT, identifying areas that need improving or updating, and then finding solutions to any problems using various methodologies and techniques to carry out intensive research and deep analysis.
As a business analyst you are responsible for all analysis, delivery and support across the business user base through close cooperation with our chosen 3rd party supplier and our customer.
For example, your work tasks will include:
Facilitate the development of systems as required. Designing and documentation of requirements to the agreed business specifications. Managing testing and release cycles as well as maintaining system documentation. Work to be carried out in accordance with the agreed framework and quality standards.
Perform systems analysis and provide proactive maintenance and support in conjunction with Support/Systems teams with an aim to ensure no unplanned down time of business applications.
To continually look to increase process improvement including actively identifying new opportunities to increase process and economic efficiency within team as well as customer.
Internal contacts: IT in Customer Countries, SFS staff at all levels
External contacts: Atos (the application developer) and some 3rd party services, incl. application and hardware providers
What do I need to qualify for the role?
Qualifications
Excellent computer skills, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent knowledge of English and Swedish language is required
Origination/Frontend experience is not mandatory but a plus, as well as IT experience.
Personal Skills
The role is ideally suited to an inquisitive and excellent communicator who is passionate about delivering first class customer service. As a candidate you need to be a self-starter, keen to learn and enjoying solving problems.
In this role, it?s important that you facilitate working meetings, with good questioning and listening skills, with an ability to transcribe and understand what?s being said. The ability to be a strong communicator in a virtual setting (via conference calls or web meetings) is equally important.
The role is required to manage the business analysis effort. This means being proactive and dependency-aware and that commitments and deadlines are self-managed.
