NASDAQ is currently looking for a Business Analyst with a background in finance, mathematics or IT and a BIG appetite to learn and grow with our team. The role will be based in Stockholm, but will involve international travel to our other offices and clients.

As a business analyst you will act as the interface between the clients and the IT organization by translating business processes and needs into detailed functional requirements. In addition, you will ensure that the team of developers and testers has a clear understanding of the clients' requirements. General responsibilities:

* From a business and system requirement perspective: support design, development, testing, deployment and transition into operation, when required.
* Designs functional solutions for clients.
* Elicits detailed business and system requirements from business owners and stakeholders.
* Writes (or assists the technical writer in production of) operational and user documentation including release notes. Ensures operational and user documentation is accurate and complete.
* Provides user training on new functionality and handles user queries regarding system functionality.
* Under limited supervision, provides input into project schedule, risks, scope of work and budget.

Education and professional accomplishments

* Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Skills and competencies required

* A good understanding of financial markets
* Technical experience is an advantage
* Highly developed social competence and strong communication skills
* Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
* Must be able to work independently and be quality focused
* Persistent in solving complex problems with the available resources, and have an analytical and result-oriented approach.
* A "hands on" approach to learning and enjoy a fast pace working environment.
