Who is your future team
The New Business team is a unique group within Axis. The team is responsible for evaluating and prototyping new business ideas from both a technical and a commercial perspective. The team have both market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources. The team's focus is on ideas outside Axis main business, Network Video. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which will require a flexible and open co-operation with R&D and other departments.
What you'll do here as Business Analyst
Working with Business Analysis within Business Development at the New Business team means that you will work in close contact with dedicated people both internally and externally, to research market opportunities and analyse existing and potential new business initiatives in order to provide input to business plans and potential new projects. This will include identifying customers/partners requirements and problems to be solved. It will also require for example assessments of Market size, profile competitors, analyse substitute products and identify barriers.
The job will also be to track technological and business trends, establish close contact with universities. Find and monitor innovations and incubation companies in related industries.
Another important part of the job will be to act as the bridge between customers/partners and development engineers, injecting feedback in product development projects as well as assisting in launching products and concepts. To do so efficiently you will interact with distributors, system integrators and their customers all around the world, often by phone or web conferences in Lund, but also by visiting customers and partners at their own sites. The position therefore involves approximately 10-20 days travel per year.
Who are you?
We believe you have a university degree within strategy, finance or economics preferably combined with a degree in engineering. You have a high knowledge and interest in the business and sales environment
In order to thrive in the position we believe that you are a motivated individual who is keen to learn; with strong analytical and numerical skills and that you are proactive and independent in thoughts and actions as well as a very good communicator. You are innovative in idea generation and problem solving, well-structured and able to explain complex matters in an easy way. Excellent in creating power point presentations. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, other languages are additional.
