We are looking for an experienced and passionate programmer to join our core technology team. As a Build Systems Programmer you will be an integral part in making our game teams as efficient and productive as possible. This is a great opportunity for the person that thrives in a challenging environment with hundreds of people relying on the quality of your work.
Developing games at Avalanche Studios involves building and managing large code bases and large amounts of data. The efficiency of the code and asset pipelines can be the differentiating factor between a blockbuster success and a failure. This is where you as the Build System Programmer come in.
This is a great opportunity to join the core technology team and contribute to an environment where our developers are efficient and productive. Being a part of this team means that a lot of people will rely on your expertise and the optimal candidate will thrive under such circumstances.
On a typical day you will work closely with the game projects to improve the efficiency of our designers, artists and programmers. You will continuously analyse the asset creation pipeline and optimize it for user efficiency, compilation time and resource utilization.
To succeed in this role will require strong programming skills; preferably with some experience working with asset and code build systems. You are a team player with a strong desire to share your knowledge with others. You are also results-oriented and have the ability to quickly absorb new information and transform it into creative solutions.
We believe that a great candidate for this role understands that rapid iterations is key to making great games and we consider previous experience in these domains a big plus.
We offer you a challenging, relaxed and stimulating environment where you will work with some of the industry's brightest minds while constantly applying and deepening your skills.

Our Values
At Avalanche Studios, we believe in worlds without limits, and we are committed to develop a diverse and inclusive workplace. We strive to hire great talent from a variety of backgrounds. Being part of our world is not contingent on where you're from, your gender, or sexual orientation. It's all about your passion, courage and craftsmanship.
Stockholm Studio
Our state of the art studio is located in the beautiful area of Södermalm, in the center of Stockholm and the Game Industry Hub. Our studio is a beautiful place inspired by our catalog of games, from the lush jungle of a lobby (Just Cause) to the corroded steel beams housing the light fixtures above your new workplace (Mad Max). We hope you'll come to think of this place as your home turf and creative foundation.
