At the department Diagnostic tools we work on developing the diagnostic tools for the entire Volvo group (AB Volvo). You will be given the opportunity to work with the latest techniques, within Microsoft .Net and Java platforms, with applications developed for different devices, PC and handheld devices. Our services are today being used by over 35000 users all over the world. Working with diagnostic tools means that you will be working in a global environment in global teams.
Build Master
We are now looking for a Build Master to join our team.
As Build Master you will be working with challenging tasks developing our build environment as well as improving our build processes. You will gain knowledge of the full development process: requirements, architecture, design, development, build, test and deployment but with a focus on build and deployment. You will do architectural analysis and time estimations of build/installation related changes/bugs. You will build installers, create DVDs and patches.
Preferably your background is as an application developer or a technical configuration manager with a genuine interest for technical solutions and also an interest for moving into this area.
Work tasks:
• Architectural analysis and time estimates of build/installation related development and bug corrections
• Maintain the build environment
• Build: Tech Tool, VCADS Pro, Network Update, DiagnosticCommunication, DC
• Build the installers and create patches for above
• Create DVD installer, patches via the Internet
Your profile:
You are a self starter with analytical skills and a structured problem-solver, and also an initiative taker with a holistic view.

• Team Foundation Server

General qualifications and skills:
• Academic qualifications within the relevant field
• Communicative team-player
• Proactive and with a strong drive to continuously challenge and improve
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
