The Position
Avalanche Studios Group is now looking for a Build Engineer to join a top-tier development team working in the most immersive hunting game created: theHunter: Call of the Wild in our division Expansive Worlds.

The team is moderately sized which will give you great opportunities to influence the end product while at the same time requiring you to push the boundaries of your discipline when needed.

As a Build Engineer you will take the technical leadership of this area and you will be setting the vision for our developer's productivity. You will have the overall responsibility for the workflow efficiency of the development of the current build system in terms of how programmers and content creators develop, manage, and build their code and data. That includes analyzing workflow, identifying bottlenecks and developing solutions to improve productivity. You will work close to our game developers and development leads to evolve our technical support systems and our processes / best practices, and to coach them in applying them in the best possible manner.

To succeed in the role you have a business and customer-oriented attitude and you find it easy to communicate and build relations. You are a team player with a strong desire to share your knowledge with others as well as to learn from your colleagues and to gain insight in the realities of their day-to-day work. You are results-oriented with the ability to quickly absorb new information and transform it into creative solutions. You have a sense of urgency and ability to cope with short lead-times.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ Years of relevant experience
Excellent skills in Python development
Experience with Continuous Integration solutions such as Jenkins, CruiseControl, TeamCity or Bamboo.
Experience with configuring build automation systems such as WAF, Scons, make, (N)Ant or Maven.
Experience with Revision Control Systems, preferably Perforce.
Thorough understanding and knowledge of software development methods and frameworks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Experience with Java development
Experience with web service development
Experience with distributed systems
