Here at Nordic Entertainment Group, we entertain millions of people every day with our streaming services, radio networks, TV channels & production companies. We make life more entertaining by telling stories, touching lives and expanding worlds - from live sports, movies and series to music and original shows. We're already the Nordic region's leading streaming & entertainment provider - so now we've set our aspirations even higher to become the European streaming champion with our five-year expansion plan. As part of this, we're launching Viaplay in 10 new markets by the end of 2023.

We are a vibrant, upbeat and passionate company and encouraging our people to step out of the box with fresh ideas to stay ahead of the rest. With a global appeal, we continue to look for the best and brightest minds to join us on our journey.

We are now looking for a Broadcast IT Engineer with a broad skillset to strengthen our Technical Systems team in NENT Sports at the office in Stockholm.

The position
You will be part of a team working with technology involved in all parts of Live video production. From camera to transmission, supporting all different trades involved in the production chain.

Working with Network design, AD-management and basic scripting are some of the everyday tasks you will come across as well as supporting our Studio, Mediadesk, Editors, MCR and Transmission in their daily work.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Support all broadcast technicians and make sure they have the IT-tools they need to perform their tasks.
• Plan and design the production tech-network for everyday use as well as for extended temporary loads that occur during large sport events.
• Make sure that our networks are always secure and compliant with our policies and GDPR.
• Communicate with other in-house IT-functions (Office network, Content Infrastructure) and find ways to co-operate.
• Optimize file transfers between our other Nordic countries.
• Find and switch to redundancy routes if something fails.
• Make sure internal tools are up and running such as NTP/DNS/scripts
• Virtualization optimization

Our journey ahead
Working with sportspeople at NENT means that your work-environment is always changing. New ways to tell our story is what keeps us in the forefront of sports production. Use of VR/AR and all the real-time data it requires is just one example of why the network design are so vital and why timing sometimes are so much more important than bandwidth (while it's the opposite for other functions such as our mediadesk). The mix of traditional broadcast technology and IT are something you will find at few other places and something that gives this job an extra dimension.

What we are looking for
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have some years of experience working as Network Engineer, IT Technician or similiar. Fluent Swedish in both speech and writing is a must but also English is a requirement as it is our corporate language.

Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:

Experience of working with

• SMB (ACL)
• Linux/Unix
• Windows (Server, Desktop)
• Active Directory (group policies)
• WSUS
• Networking
• Firewall (network segmentation/IT security)
• KVM (Linux Virtualization)
• VPN
• Scripting (Python)

Bonus requirements that will make you stand out from the rest:

• Broadcast experience: IP-A/V, media workflows, cross-site networking etc
• Adobe CC suite (Administrating, support & troubleshooting)
• Dell Storage
• Monitoring (Skyline Dataminer)
• Knowledge of SMPTE2110 and PTP
