Come and work with us in Civil engineering
Within the Civil Engineering division, there are six departments working on civil engineering issues related to urban development and infrastructure. The assignments vary from early stages and investigations to multidisciplinary design, construction documentation, and construction support. Within the division, you will find geotechnical engineers, bridge designers, project managers, landscape architects, traffic planners, water/sewage/road and railway designers, risk analysts, air, climate, and sustainability specialists, environmental engineers, hydrogeologists, construction managers, and more.

Our experts have a multidisciplinary perspective and collaborate closely within the department. A significant portion of our assignments are carried out in collaboration with other units within COWI nationally and internationally to leverage COWI's world-leading expertise in the field.
Your role
In this role, you will become part of our global team of experts and work closely with your colleagues in the group, department, and across office boundaries.
Here, you will work with bridges, tunnels and marine construction assignments, both independently and in project groups within COWI. Our assignments range from large infrastructure projects to projects in urban development, construction technology, industry, and the environment for both government, municipal, and private clients. You will have experienced colleagues locally and a skilled national and international network of experts across the entire COWI Group.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Work with parameterized computational models using Sofistik or Brigade
• Design and analysis of steel and concrete structures
• Lead less experienced colleagues
• Collaborate with contractors or clients with a focus on the civil engineering discipline.
• Participate in internal development projects
• Interact with colleagues within civil engineering as well as other disciplines
• Work together with colleagues outside Sweden's borders, such as from Denmark or COWI International
Qualifications

As a person, you are a receptive team player, communicative, engaged, and motivated to develop business solutions together with colleagues and clients.
To be suitable for this position, you also need to:
• Have a master degree in Civil Engineering.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in design of bridges, tunnels and/or marine constructions.
• Be fluent in both Swedish and English, in both speaking and writing.
