The Husqvarna Group is the world's largest producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers and garden tractors. The Husqvarna Global Design Centre is now searching for a Brand Design Manager who will be responsible for design strategies and industrial design for one of our key brands.
The objectives of this position will include:
• development and implementation of the Brand Design Strategy
• development of world class design to beat competition and accelerate sales and profit
• selection and managing of consultants for industrial design projects and making sure the brand strategies are followed
Location:
As of October 2010 the Husqvarna Global Design Center is moving from Huskvarna to Stockholm which will be the location of your new position.
Your essential duties are to:
• lead initiatives and define future brand design direction
• communicate and represent the brand from the design perspective, in- and outside the design organisation
• oversee the brand design for ongoing projects and give the brand direction where needed
• make sure that there is a follow-up on the process related activities i.e. project/design evaluation, up-dates on brand design strategy
• foster growth and skill development of team members both experienced ones and newly-employed
Minimum qualifications:
• Master degree in Industrial Design
• Five years of experience as an industrial designer, ideally within global companies
• Computer skills in Alias (or similar) and Adobe CS.
As a Brand Design Manager you should possess proven leadership, excellent presentation and good communication skills. An ideal candidate should demonstrate strategic and creative thinking as well as good organisational skills. Fluency in English is mandatory.
