Alstom is recruiting a Brake Technical Expert for its Brake System division located in Västerås, Sweden. This newly created division aims to capitalize Alstom know-how on brakes and to define brake products for its rolling stock applications. The Brakes System Department innovates and defines the brakes of the future, foster cooperation between customers, suppliers, and academics. Its scope includes product & industrial strategy, offer & contract execution, product safety, reliability improvement, and return of experience.
As Brake Technical Expert, you are the technical referent for the design brake systems.
Your mission is to:
Capitalize the return of experience on brake system
Define the technical rules for the design of brake system
Create and update technical guidelines, design tools and templates of technical deliverables
Chair the peer technical reviews on brake system
Review all technical deliverables related to the brake system
Monitor the evolution of norms and regulations impacting the brake system
Coach and train other engineers
Being integrated into multicultural teams working on railway projects for the European and international market, you will develop your skills progressively in the railway domain. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, driven individual to contribute significantly to the success of Alstom organisation.
Your profile:
Engineering degree in automatics, electricity or mechanics
At least 10 years of experience in brake systems for the railway industry
Rigor, autonomy and team working
Fluent in English
Regular travels in Europe and abroad
Swedish would be an advantage
