hela Sverige DC Braking & Suspension Control Systems group, within the chassis department are responsible for development of brake and air suspension control systems for all truck brands within Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The group is part of a global network with close cooperation with groups on other sites.
Position description:
You will be responsible for analysis, specification and review of brake and traction function requirements. You will join our multinational team of research and development engineers. You will also support aftermarket and production with information about the brake system.
Depending on your profile, your work will include some, most or all of the following parts:
• Responsible for one or more functions related to braking or vehicle stability.
• Specify system/functional requirements.
• Organize/participate in technical discussions with supplier.
• Test, tune and document function parameters, for different variant.
• Develop brake and traction functions in research and product development projects.
• Perform experimental tests in vehicles.
• Carry out tests in both virtual and real environments.
• Trouble shooting and support to the aftersales and production plants
Qualifications:
• M.Sc. in Mechatronic, Control engineering, Electronics or similar.
• Knowledge in Physics, Mechatronic, Mechanical engineering, Control engineering, Vehicle dynamics, System modeling, Functional requirements and Electronics.
• Understanding of system development of embedded real time systems.
• Understanding of model based development.
• Analytical.
• Good communication and presenting skills written and verbally.
• Responsible mindset.
• Business and customer oriented.
In addition, you are familiar with tools such as Simulink, Matlab, Canalyzer as well as rapid software prototyping and systems development principles. Since we often face mechanical challenges, it is beneficial that you like mechanical problem solving. Knowledge in Volvo Tools and C-driving license are advantages.
We are looking for you who have a great interest and knowledge within the brake system area and would like to work within our team responsible for development of heavy trucks pneumatic brake system.
