Body & Exterior unit belongs to the Structure & Ride department and is leading the development of the Body in White, Exterior & Closures systems and connected Functions.
Our main focus is to develop architectures and tophat systems to support CEVTs future mobility solutions.
The unit is divided in 4 teams:
Body in White & Geometry
Closure Structure
Exterior Systems
Closure mechatronics, Cleaning & Functions
To strengthen our team for future challenges and projects, we are now looking for a Body & Exterior Architect.
The Body & Exterior unit consist of 80-100 persons. You will be a member of the Body & Exterior management team, be one of two architects and report directly to the Head of Body & Exterior.
This is what you will be doing most of the time:
Leads the cross-functional work to define body & exterior concepts and solutions which meet all major attributes, feasibility and integration requirements.
Defines body & exterior concepts for the critical safety and NVH load paths by building on deep knowledge of the automotive industry, body design, attributes and manufacturing
Support to the Body & Exterior unit to secure all project deliveries (technology, time and cost)
Support the Body & Exterior development of strategies of the technology areas towards future business needs.
Contribute to our department ambition to be recognized as the most innovative, reliable and best department to work in, and with.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you who have experience of product development within automotive. Experience from door development is a strong merit and you need to be able to use Catia/CAD as one of your main support tools. You should have documented cross-functional leadership capabilities and experience and enjoy driving new technology solutions forward.
You are an inspiring leader who creates commitment in the organization through trust, care and personal engagement and excellent communication skills. You enjoy working operationally with a strong product focus, leading your projects forward with courage even in uncertain times.
To be successful in the role, it is important that you are positive, take initiative, work well with the management team as well as the employees with in the unit.
Suitable theoretical background is Master of science within mechanical engineering or similar.
