Body/Exterior CAE Engineer – Body structure
During development of a vehicle, requirements for the complete vehicle can often be broken down to system and component requirements. The car body have many system requirements, such as durability, strength and stiffness. Fulfilment of these requirements acts as a prerequisite for a successful complete vehicle validation. Your task will be to develop and optimize the body structure to different kinds of system requirements and to communicate with both the body validation and design teams at CEVT. Communication with our Chinese team members will also be a part of the job as some of the analysis work for these components is carried out in Hangzhou. The main tools that are used in the daily work are ANSA, MSC Nastran, nCode DesignLife and µETA.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Set-up and solve mainly durability and strength load cases.
• Build FE models, assemble subsystem FE models.
• Cooperate with the team members that are located in our Chinese office in Hangzhou.
• Communicate results and design development proposals with attribute, validation and design engineers.
• Contribute to develop Body/Exterior CAE-team efficiency.
Requirements
• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil engineering or Engineering physics with focus on Structural dynamics or Fatigue, or similar.
• Experience from similar work tasks within the automotive area.
• Experience of ANSA and MSC Nastran.
• Ability and interest to interact with people outside your own organization.
• Ability and interest to work in cross functional and international teams.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Basic knowledge in Swedish.
• Knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin) is a merit.
