hela Sverige Board Power Design at Lindholmen is responsible for research, development and maintenance of the board Power solutions to the majority of the Ericsson Product Portfolio. We are a part of the Ericsson's global design organization and engaged in developing products for the present and future mobile networks. Right now we are at a great journey to realize the next generation of mobile network - 5G
At Board Power Design Digital, we are now looking for a passionate HW Designer with a great interest in power solutions and analogue design. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for creating the discrete board power solution for Ericsson baseband projects. Typical work tasks include pre-studies, schematic design, PCB layout, on-board verification and support at board bring up in our factory. If you also have experience from AC/DC design that is advantageous.
You will also work in close cooperation with our SW team that design the power management FW and with other power design areas and with global power system suppliers. You will interact with design disciplines across Ericsson, such as digital design, system design and building practices. Co-operation with global production sites and other design centers in Sweden and China is part of the daily work.
Job description
The job is in the area of product development and includes:
• Board Power design (DC/DC converters, power architectures, POL converters, EMI filters)
• Design and evaluation of components, protection circuitry, supervision and control functions within DC/DC
• Schematic design and support of board layout
• Test and verification of power converters, -48V input stage, protection and supervision.
• Production support
Qualifications
You take initiative and are willing to adopt new methods and techniques. You work well independently, but you are also a team player with good communication skills. You have experience within the field and have:
• BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering or equal
• Experience from analogue design
• Understanding of firmware and software design e.g. C, Labview and Keysight vee
• Skills in schematic drawing and experience from a laboratory environment (instruments, measurements, etc.)
• Experience from PCB design tools such as Cadence and Mentor
• Fluent in English.
Good to have
• Communication protocols (SMBus, PMBus)
• Good knowledge of developing test systems using LabView or HP vee
• Experience from power design
• Experience with mentoring and coaching
You have an analytical approach, a strong drive for results and customer focus. You have good communication and co-operation skills and the ability to take the initiative and adapt to new methods and techniques. Most of all you have an inquisitive mind, and a thirst for knowledge.
