This job will take you to the very core of development where you will model,
design, test and implement the electric motor controls for both existing- and new car models.
You will find yourself in a Simulink- and MatLab based working environment where you will do model-based software development directed towards the ISO26262 application standard.

Main responsibilties:
- Write functional- and software requirements as well as participate in functional safety assessment and software architecture design forums
- Design and implement motor control software using model based development
- Design and implement drivers for MCU peripherals to support motor control and functional safety
- Test and debug the inverter system in test benches and dyno
For this position we are now looking for someone who enjoys working with multidisciplinary systems and is truly passionate about, and has a record of, developing things from scratch. Experience in working specifically with Battery Management Systems will be of great benefit.
Moreover, we are looking for someone who has several years of working experience with model-based development in Matlab and Simulink as well as experience in model/software development for PMSM motor control for Electric vehicles or DC-DC/DC-AC control applications. Basic understanding of position/flux observers is vital for this position.

Core skills required:

Strong C-programming skills
-
Good understanding of software validation, both model based and Software/Hardware in the loop systems.

Experience in implementing FOC/Vector control with field weakening MTPA control, functional safety, and control loop tuning.
- Experience in working with ISO26262 application standard is ideal but not a requirement
