Block Leader - Vehicle Integration
At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world's leading manufacturers, and due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Block Leader in Vehicle Integration to be based at our office in Göteborg.
Scope of Role:
The Block Leader is responsible for managing the functional maturation and integrity of Body Engineering and other relevant Domains from a geometric perspective for ongoing and new projects.
Area of Responsibility:
The Block leader is responsible for managing the cross functional geometric integrity of whole vehicle and part vehicle programmes. You will have responsibility for:
• A single block or zone of the vehicle, ensuring that all geometry within that zone, created by component and system owners, satisfies the requirements outlined in the relevant Digital Pre Assembly processes.
• Report out the status for all geometry within the block at each stage of Virtual Series referencing status v target for all relevant attributes including adherence to all relevant geometric legal and customer level functional requirements
• Manage cross functional geometry reviews and create task lists for component and system engineers and manage issue resolution at a working level.
• Chair escalation meetings for Senior review of issues. Seek direction and disseminate that direction.
• Manage interaction between Delivery teams and Design Studio. Provide arbitration and escalation leading to resolution of issues
Knowledge / Experience:
• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5
• Good all round knowledge of whole vehicle package
• History of Studio Engineering and Packaging within the automotive sector.
• Team Centre Engineering (TCE)
• Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels,
• PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc
• Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
