Job brief
The Block Chain Developer role is to develop and maintain the NCC platform. This role will require creative drive and highly technical skillset to achieve results in building applications that interface with blockchain technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the redesign and evolution of existing NCC Pool codebase both to support high performance for thousands of connected nodes and to also deliver a world class user interface.
• Fix bugs and maintain the code base
• Participation in the testing and deployment of new releases
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to reach ideal outcomes and solutions
• Apply creative solutions to eliminate limitations of existing code/hardware and provide improved user experiences
Minimum Qualifications:
• In-depth, modern Javascript (Node.js 6+) knowledge (ES6 features, performance, security, functional programming, JS object prototypes) and related ecosystem (NPM) and conventions
• Knowledge and experience of blockchain technologies
• Experience with open-source and distributed software development projects
• Must be competent with Git and Github (including rebasing, resolving merge conflicts)
• Expert-level Linux/UNIX user, knowledge of POSIX interoperability standards
• Ability to commit to a timeline, stay on task, and ensure sufficient availability to complete the assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
• Passion for block-chain and bringing this world-changing technology to the masses
• Knowledge of object-oriented design principles
• Ability to work remotely and deliver without constant supervision
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
Desired Qualifications:
• At least one year's experience coding within the field of crypto currency (strongly desired)
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., EE, physics, mathematics)
• Experience with git-flow workflow within Github
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, including its quirks and workarounds
• Solid understanding of Software Systems Architecture, including loose coupling of services and the "12Factor" methodology
• Experience with micro service architecture in general
• Experience with Docker, including building images for micro services and managing those images thru a registry such as Docker Hub or AWS ECR.
• Experience developing server-side API services
• Experience with Continuous Integration systems
• Knowledge of document-oriented databases and indexing complex, nested JSON documents
Location
• Daily job location is Mariannelund Sweden. Travel within Sweden to other locations and international travel may be periodically required.
Other Considerations
• This is a full time permanent role.
• Individual working hours will be kept to 40 hours per week with minimum overtime. When overtime is required time off in lieu of overtime hours worked or appropriate compensation within compliance with Swedish law will be provided.
