Complete Vehicle Attributes consists of four testing sections organized in one department and consists of approximately 55 employees.We represent the global customers in the development process and play the role internally Volvo Car Corporation as "Voice of the customer".
The department is responsible for validation of the complete vehicle, including evaluation of all areas and attributes the customers perceive when buying and using the car. This includes decisions of current attribute levels and balancing between attributes as well as evaluating the character and reliability of the product.
Testing is performed in all phases of product development and in different type of programs.
This position consists of two major tasks; Black Belt responsible for 6-Sigma projects within Complete Vehicle Attributes department and also Customer facts and statistics analysis supporting program teams within the department with necessary facts and figures for decisions and evaluations.
Position Description:
BB
Inspire, develop and support 6-sigma competence, mindset and usage within department.
Coach and certify Green Belts and Managers including participation in Green Belt training.
Represent department at R&D 6-sigma network and VCC 6-sigma network
Support 6-Sigma events outside department when requested.
Offer technical competence within 6-Sigma and act as internal resource in this area within unit Vehicle Engineering.
CFA
Make analysis and conclusions from data received through performed external customer surveys.
Make analysis and conclusions from data received from real customer cars at market through systems and tools as DRO, FASTE etc.
Support testing engineers with data concerning customer usage, customer environment and market facts.
Support department in the development of new or modified test methods and development tasks ("VU").
Develop processes to fulfill long-term goals concerning quality and continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
Certified Black Belt.
Engaged and motivated to understand customer/car-buyer needs.
Eager and willing to teach and dedicated and motivated by 6-Sigma.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Holistic view, ability to strategic thinking and goal oriented.
Ability to build confidence and trust.
Spoken and written English.
