The Institute of Environmental Medicine (IMM) is a department at Karolinska Institutet and an interdisciplinary research institution within the broad field of environmental medicine. IMM conducts cutting edge research within the areas of environmental and occupational medicine, toxicology, physiology, epidemiology, and biostatistics with the aim to clarify how environmental and lifestyle factors affect our health and which role genes have. IMM also serves as a scientific advisor to public authorities within the area of environmental medicine and IMM scientists participate in national and international expert groups.

Division

The Unit of Biostatistics aims to contribute toward solving health problems and disseminating knowledge and culture of biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet and worldwide.

Research supervision, teaching, and presentations to statistical and non-statistical audiences are an essential part of its mission.

Duties

The new hire is expected to develop a theme in biostatistical research and participate in the teaching activities at the Unit of Biostatistics.

Entry requirements

The person we are looking for has been awarded a doctoral degree or has achieved the corresponding scientific competence, and is able to demonstrate skills and experience in the fields of statistics/biostatistics.

The base for assessment will be the scientific expertise and teaching experience in the field of biostatistics. In particular, demonstrated achievements in research areas related to inference on conditional quantile functions is a merit.
