Job Description
Galderma is looking for a Bioprocess Design Engineer to work in our Uppsala manufacturing plant.
The Bioprocess Design Engineer will join a small and dedicated team of 6 people, which is responsible for the development and maintenance of manufacturing processes for both DS and DP for a new protein based innovative aesthetic product that is in late stage of development. The work will include DS characterization studies as well as DP scale up activities with both practical laboratory work as well as quality documentation. The work involves a lot of internal collaboration in a matrix organization.
Key Tasks

Plan, conduct and present results of technical experiments and laboratory trials for the development of drug substance and product processes as well as for drug product formulations.

Work according to industry standards and take applicable regulations into account in process/equipment development and validation
*
Coordinate and direct process development and engineering activities or act as sub project manager for projects within relevant discipline.
*
When needed write SOPs for instruments or process methods, Master Batch Records, manufacturing-, registration- and specification reports and files. Train operators and manufacturing personnel in new operating procedures.
*
Develop User Requirement Specifications, be technically accountable during evaluation of suppliers and take part in IQ/OQ/PQ of equipment and processes.
Skills & Qualifications
*
Engineering or Life Sciences Degree. Protein biochemistry a big plus
*
Professional level Swedish and English
*
Previous work in Pharmaceutical or Medical device industry with GMP knowledge is strongly meriting
*
Knowledge of industrial manufacturing process development and scale-up activities
*
Knowledge of Equipment purchasing and validation activities
*
Prior work in Biosafety Level-2 environment and Clean Room
