hela Sverige Nobel Biocare is right now in a very expansive and exciting development phase and needs to strengthen the Early Development team.
The Nobel Biocare dental scanning concept with Procera® software is constantly being updated in response to dental professionals' evolving needs. Now Nobel Biocare will take the next step bringing the concept platform from a dental laboratory system into the clinics and closer to the patients.
Therefore the Early Development at Nobel Biocare needs to strengthen their team with a Biologist.
The Biologist/ Biochemist will work with both in vivo and in vitro models for evaluation of new materials, surfaces and clinical concepts. In short - linking the laboratory results with the biomaterial product research.
Initially the Biologist will be involved and partly responsible for planning and setting up the facilities of a small Early Development laboratory. This will involve all arrangements, from selecting and purchasing of instruments and other equipments needed to the actual carry out of the laboratory experiments. As a Biologist you will execute research in a wide area, but the main focus will be in cell biology and also some molecular biology.
The Biologist we are looking for must have a documented long and broad experience from laboratory work and be able to carry out experiments within various areas such as cell biology - microbiology - immunology and molecular biology. As you also will participate in some in vivo experiments together with a Senior Scientist, in vivo experience and knowledge of working with animal models is required.
A suitable background for the person we are looking for could be a Master of Science in cell biology, biomedicine or similar with some years of working experience in the area.
As a person you should be able to work independently and have a strong driving force, as well as being a good team player. We think that you have a practical mind and really enjoy working hands on in the laboratory. You are also patient and able to run long series of routine samples when needed.
Accuracy and reliability are of course other key factors that are highly valued. Furthermore you should have excellent knowledge in English and good documentation and computer skills.
