Job Description
Vattenfall is looking for the right person to fill the position as Biologist with orientation towards freshwater ecosystems and fish. You will be a part of Ecohydraulics team at Vattenfall Research & Development within Vattenfall Strategic Development with location in Älvkarleby.

You will belong to a highly qualified team that performs development and research projects aiming to reach our climate and biodiversity ambitions. In the Ecohydraulics team you will work with planning, leading, and conducting projects and investigations, ranging from finding site specific solutions to long going research project/collaborations. You will work in a cross disciplinary environment where we have a high focus on the connection between biology and hydraulics.
Your main Tasks and responsibilities
Lead and participate in research and development projects
Pursue and establish research and project collaborations
Support with biological expertise in environmental projects.
Qualifications
Your profile and personal skills
To be successful in this position you need:
Have a Master in biology, or equal experience, preferably with orientation towards fish ecology, and/or river ecosystems.
Experience in planning and leading projects
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Established network within hydro power: e.g. business, universities, or authorities, as well as a good command of Swedish will be considered as merits.
Others recognize you as a positive person with good communication and problem-solving skills. You are furthermore described as a person that see what needs be done, and then make it happen. You truly believe, even as an expert in your own field, that better results are achieved multidisciplinary and in cooperation with others. You see every opportunity to connect and work with different stakeholders as a part of your own development.
Additional Information
Location: Älvkarleby.
Some travelling to relevant sites will occur.
