The Institute of Clinical Sciences, Department of Suregry at the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg invites applications for a bioinformatician, with placement in the Sahlgrenska Translational Melanoma Group (www.satmeg.se) at the Sahlgrenska Cancer Center. The research group has a strong desire to translate basic research findings into new and innovative clinical trials.
Job assignments
The bioinformatician will work on a project seeking to identify new targets for cancer therapy. Tasks include to process and analyze next-generations sequencing data.
Qualifications
To qualify as a bioinformatician the applicant should hold a Master degree or a Doctoral degree in Bioinformatics. The applicant should have knowledge or interest in the field of cancer research, previous experience with handling tumor sequencing data. Other important qualities include extensive and documented experience in working with TCGA data, as well as a strong self-motivation, good interpersonal skills, and fluency in writing and speaking English.
Employment
Temporary employment fulltime for 24 month. Placed at the institute of Clinical Sciences, Gothenburg. Starting date; As agreed.
