Role
The Project Manager position is part of an agile, closely collaborating team where members have different roles. The PM is the role with many external contact areas, and is thereby an important link to enable and secure progress for the team and its field of work.
Main responsibilities
As Project Manager at the Big Data group you will:
* Lead projects related to Big Data, ranging from early-phase research to roll-out of findings.
* Act as ambassador for carrying out the Big Data contribution in the company
* Connect Volvo Cars with universities, institutes, authorities, and other companies through driving joint research collaboration projects
Required skills and qualifications
* Project Manager certificates, training, or documented experience
* Skilled in communication, both verbally and written
* Sincerely enjoy interacting with and presenting to people in various forums
* High-level understanding of and interest in Big Data concepts
* M.Sc. or equivalent in relevant field, or MBA
