Our international consulting unit provides expert technical assistance and services to international clients and multilateral development banks for managing social and environmental safeguards aspects of their projects in developing countries. We help our clients, mainly multinational development banks, to ensure environmental and social safeguards and mitigations measures in their development and infrastructure projects in developing countries.

Now we would like to extend and seek a Bid Coordinator to be based in Uppsala, Sweden and assist and work together with the unit's Director for promoting our services and developing our network and participation in projects of multilateral development banks and aid agencies in countries of Central Asia, Caucasus, and Afghanistan.

The main tasks of the Bids Coordinator will be to:

Follow up and analysis of opportunities, bids and Request for Proposals announced by international development organizations and multilateral development banks, and identify projects and bids according to the company's technical expertise and services; this will include (i) prepare and support submitting the expressions of interest (EOIs), bid proposals to the clients accordingly; (ii) search of suitable sub-contractors and NGOs in the target developing countries, coordinate and work with them in preparing EOIs and bid proposals for projects/assignments announced by multilateral development banks and donors, and (iii) perform other works and prepare other documents as needed for bid proposals in response to request for Proposals and bids announced by the clients with focus to the multilateral development banks,

Assist in completion of ongoing projects and assignments, collection, analysis and preparing drafts of the required reports and materials (mainly on subjects of on social and resettlement, and environmental safeguards, and gender and development, and others as needed by the clients),

Support the existing and develop new business networking with professionals in our target client organizations and government agencies in the beneficiaries countries in particular in Central Asia, Caucasus, and Afghanistan.

Develop network and cooperation with other international consulting companies and professionals including those in the beneficiaries countries for partnering and submitting joint expressions of interests and technical offers to the target clients for announced biddings for projects and assignments in the targeted beneficiaries clients,

Manage contracts with and sub-contractors in the target countries, monitor and oversee projects and assignments implementation and sub-contractors performance; and liaison with clients and national/international sub-contractors that may be engaged for projects implementation.

Service-minded and results-oriented, willing to try new roles and tasks for self-development and well completion of projects/assignments by the company.

Requirements:

University Degree and work experience in the countries of Central Asia or the Caucasus, and good knowledge of social and environmental safeguards policies, standards and requirements of multilateral banks (e.g. ADB, WB, EBRD)

Very good communication skills, intercultural competence, ability to work in a team, flexibility to work on a broad range of social and environmental issues,

Relevant work experience in Central Asia and Caucuses or working knowledge of Afghanistan and good understanding and network of relevant organizations and government clients in the target countries is useful,

You also need to understand the culture and values, follow the rules and regulations that apply in the countries of assignment, as well as corporate rules of clients; demonstrate high professional integrity in your work and relations with clients, sub-contractors, and project beneficiaries.,

Be able to travel for assignments to the beneficiaries countries, including countries of Central Asia and Caucasus (visits to project sites), and Afghanistan.

Good knowledge of English and Russian languages. Good knowledge of Persian (Dari) language is a strong advantage.
