Position Description

Our Mission:

The Demand Planning & Analytics team drives the demand planning process of new trucks within Volvo Trucks. This includes securing good quality in Volvo Trucks demand plans and optimizing Volvo Trucks volume plan in co-operation with relevant stakeholders in the global Sales and Operations Network.
To be successful in our team mission there is a high need for developing modern forecasting methods and clear reporting development.

Main Activities and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing/modeling and visualizing data in order to gain strategic and business insights or for operational decision-making
Provide timely and qualitative analyses and reports towards different area's within the wider Volvo Trucks organization
Create new and maintain existing Business critical BI reports and Dashboards
Lead the transition of the existing standard reports in WEBI, SSAS Cube and Excel into newer BI tools like Power BI
Run advanced modeling on data in order to extract knowledge and/or predict future events
Key user for the Datawarehouse by taking an active role in working with change requests and maintain the data quality
Design and maintain data systems and databases
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for improvements and implement cross functionally

To be successful and have fun in this role we believe your strengths are:
You have successful past experiences working with data visualization tools (PowerBI, WEBI, Advanced Excel)
Good knowledge of data-querying using SQL and ability to work with multiple data sources like Netezza, SQL Server, AZURE and flat files
Experience in Python/R and ability to use machine learning algorithms for Data Analysis/Trends is an advantage
You are an inspiring and inclusive team player with a drive for change and transformation
You love to take initiative, work cross functionally and implement changes
Analyzing data and communicating analytic insights in a clear and efficient way gives you energy
Knowledge of the Demand, Order to Delivery or Sales Order Process is a merit.
Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or similar
Strong communication skill both written and spoken in English
