SEB Pension & Försäkring is now looking for a BI Developer within the BI/Data warehouse team. About the job
As a BI developer you will join an ambitious BI/Data warehouse team that is determined to build and support our vision of becoming a data driven organization. As a team, we take pride in delivering high quality solutions in a timely manner. Even though IT is our core competence, it is important for us to have knowledge about the business we support as well. In our team, we cover different roles such as business analyst, ETL developers and QA analysts, distributed across two geographical locations. We all come from different backgrounds and cultures but together we are a close-knit team with a joint mission - to create a second to none information platform for SEB Pension & Försäkring. In the role as BI Developer, you will be involved in maintaining old and develop new solutions based on the QlikView platform. For this role we see that it is important that you have extensive experience with BI development using QlikView or other tools. It is also very important that you enjoy working close with business to be able to catch ad hoc changes and discuss requirements for new reports. In the areas in which you are more senior than others, you will be expected to mentor more junior team members.
Who are you?
I'm looking for a driven, curious person that wants to learn and adapt to new things. Since we are working in an agile set up, you should have experience working according to agile principles. In a team setup, it is important to find a balance between taking own initiative/doing things independently and working closely with other team members. Since part of our delivery team is located in Kuala Lumpur, it is important you are able to communicate well in English (verbal as well as written) and to be open to work in new and different arrangements. It will be an advantage if you have previous experience working in a distributed team across geographical locations. Occasional travel to Malaysia may also be needed.
In order to fit into this role, you should have:
A minimum of 5 years of working in BI development creating reports for users
An expert in QlikView, Tableau or other BI tool
Domain knowledge from insurance industry or investment banking
Previous experience working with ETL development and data modeling
Clear and professional communication is an important skill. You may, for example, be expected to present ideas and solutions for a bigger group of people and to facilitate requirement workshops with business users.
