About the Mission
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of and shape a growing team in an international environment. As a BI Analyst, you will be expected to take part on the whole BI process from capturing data, structuring it and creating reports and delivering insights to support both operational and strategic decision making.

Through the work you will be doing in the BI team, you will be part of building one of the most comprehensive sources of veterinary data in the world with the ultimate aim to continually improve our own operations, help advance veterinary care and improve medical outcomes. The team is autonomous and has great responsibility and freedom to find the best solutions possible.

In terms of technology, we to a large extent use the Microsoft stack including Azure and with Power BI as our platform for visualization and data/report sharing.

About the Role
Summary of role:

• Create and maintain Power BI datasets and reports based on the data in our Azure SQL databases
• Help promote successful reports or analysis across the Group
• Drive harmonization of KPIs and reporting
• Work closely with existing in local country BI staff to support & share best practices
• Support specific data driven projects and topics by helping supply relevant data, doing analysis and generate insights, often in close collaboration with other Group functions (example of topics include Referral flows, Customer analysis, Sustainability, Marketing and Pricing)
• Explore and understand the data available from the Group's various systems and data sources. This work is often done in close collaboration with Group IT
• Reports to Head of Group BI

Required attributes:

• Power BI experience: a proven track record of working with Power BI is essential. This includes loading data using Power Query, building the data model and measures using DAX, creating user friendly and understandable visualizations and publishing to the Power BI service
• SQL experience: ability to wrangle and extract data from SQL databases using views, joins, unions, where and case when clauses
• Energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to educate others about the benefits of Power BI
• Analytical with a structured approach to tasks
• Excellent communication / presentation skills in English as stakeholders will be located in numerous different countries
• Curious, self-starter with strong time management and prioritization skills

Nice to have attributes:

• Python coding skills
• Azure Data Factory experience
• Understanding of Financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Experience from human or pet healthcare
